Maybe there are some things you don’t know about the Manchester City manager, so let’s take a quick look before meeting Cristina:
Josep “Pep” Guardiola Sala was born on January 18, 1971. He’s originally from Santpedor, Spain. His parents are Dolors and Valenti Guardiola. Pep has two older sisters and a younger brother, Pere, who’s a soccer agent.
Guardiola stated that he would move to Manhattan, New York, for a year after his tenure as Barcelona’s manager, until he decided on his future. Pep practiced German for about four or five hours per day to prepare for his position as Bayern Munich’s manager.
The former player supports the political independence of Catalonia. He confirmed in 2015 that he would participate in the coalition Together for Yes, standing for Catalonia independence in the 2015 Catalonian parliamentary election.
Cristina Serra is a beautiful fashionista wife. That’s probably why her hubby is always nicely dressed! She and Pep are not only a marriage, they are also best friends. They met 27 years ago, inside Serra Claret, the clothing store owned by Cristina’s parents, in Manresa, Spain. Guardiola was an 18-year-old boy who modeled for the Spanish designer Antonio Miro. At that time, in the 90s, Pep was still to become one of the best graduates of La Masia academy.
The couple married on May 29, 2014, and they have three children together: Maria, Marius, and Valentina. The Guardiolas have always agreed to keep a low key lifestyle. Cristina is very discrete as Pep tries as much as possible to maintain her off the media.
