Cheryl Esiason is the lovely wife of former NFL star turned football analyst, Norman Julius “Boomer” Esiason.
Cheryl’s hubby is well known as one of the best left-handed quarterbacks in NFL history. Born April 17, 1961; The Long Island native played varsity football, basketball, and baseball at New York’s East Islip High School.
Boomer was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and retired with 37,920 passing yards and 247 touchdowns. He spent the majority of his career with the Bengals and also played stints with the Jets and the Cardinals.
Since retiring from the NFL, Esiason has worked for ABC, HBO and CBS Sports. He’s also a morning show host for the radio show, Boomer and Gio on WFAN. Boomer’s wife Cheryl Esiason has also had her fair share of public appearances.
The lovely blonde is well known as the wife of Boomer Esiason, however she’s also made a name for herself. Cheryl serves as the Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the Boomer Esiason Foundation –in that role she’s raised millions in order to fund research for a cure to cystic fibrosis.
Cheryl Esiason became attached to the cause after she and her husband welcomed a son, Gunnar was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of 2. It was in 1993 that the foundation was launched. Since then, Cheryl Esiason has worked relentlessly for the cause and has remained committed to supporting the critical research needed to discover a cure for CF and to improving the quality of life for the 30,000 Americans living with the disease.
Boomer and Cheryl Easiason are also the proud parents to daughter, Sydney. Their daughter is currently engaged to longtime boyfriend and professional hockey player, Matt Martin. While Gunnar Esiason serves as Director of Program Outreach at the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
